1.
Our Philosophy...
The philosophy of Precious Life Shelter Infant Care Facility represents high standards,
quality childcare services and creative children's programs.
We provide a learning environment that meets the developmental needs of infants and children.
Programs are provided that enhance the parent-child interaction, offer continual staff training
and promote peace of mind to working parents because their children are being cared for in a healthy and safe environment.
Teachers are skilled in all areas of childhood education and are continually involved with in-service training and professional
conferences to ensure familiarity with the latest information on teaching techniques and new educational materials.
2.
Our Goal...
To enhance the five major areas of learning through balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities.
These goals were developed to enhance children's independence and problem-solving abilities through a responsive,
nurturing and stimulating environment.
The five major areas of learning:
-
Cognitive Skills
Thinking abilities, including decision making, judgment, analysis and readiness skills
-
Language Development
Expressive and receptive language abilities
-
Physical Development
Large and fine motor skills
-
Aesthetic Development
Appreciation of art, music and nature
-
Social/Emotional Development
Self-worth and self-esteem
